Did You Thnk About Washing Your Wheels

Post by JohnC »

...before you bought them? I sure miss the old baby moons that use to be so popular, they were really easy to clean. Looks like you can still buy them. http://store.yahoo.com/kttrading/babymoon.htmlMy wheels aren't too bad, but much more work than moons to clean up.

Yeah, I sure did think about how easy it would be to clean the wheels I was looking at. 5 star designs are my favorite and my Evo5's are pretty easy. The most annoying part to clean is the little rivet looking parts of the design, but those really add to the look of them, so I don't mind at all. Here is a close up:

usually take a rag to my rims, BUT during winter my rims don't get the attention they normally would.usually the spray on stuff works fine on rims. on tires though, bleach white spray on.

I usaully spend as long on the wheels and tires as I do washing the car. I use a spray cleaner on the wheels and Armor all on the tires.

Yeah, a couple months ago when I washed my car at my apt complex's car wash some guy washed his two cars in about 2/3 the time it took me to clean my car! I do a thorough job and yes, same thing with my wheels, it takes quite some time to clean them. Those wheels with many spokes look great, but would take even more time to clean.

The wheels on my GTO are a b!tch to clean. Those spokes trap dirt in the corners. That will be taken into consideration when I upgrade to 18's.
