Dude, does your Grandma know you are looking at her car? I'm 35, juvenile and immature at best, and love my Vibe. 26 year old guys should be driving cool cars, not a flipping Mercury Sable...(screwy)

Finally, someone who speaks the truth rather than giving in to what's "popular". I'm with Jake here. My parents have owned 2 Sables and had no major issues with either one. The older one (1993) ran until well into the 100K's and the newer one (2001) was over 60K and still going strong. The only reason they got rid of either one was they were just ready to trade. They may not be the most exciting thing in terms of styling or performance but they're perfectly reliable and when equipped with the 3.0 V6 they get surprising gas mileage!

My daughter (19yrs old) loves her Taurus. I like driving it too, it is quite, roomy and comfortable. She has over 100k mile on it now and no problems. Ford is replacing the Taurus/Sable with the Fusion so good deals should be the norm. It is alot of car for $16k.BTW my daughter thinks the Taurus is more of a kids car than the Vibe. Guess everyone is intitled to thier own taste.

the 2nd generation taurus/sable was a great car. my wife owned one till recently. it had 170k miles. Ford really does (did) a good job at making strong engines.i think i'd rather the milan than sable though.

Resale on them is crap, you can get a 2 yr old one with low miles for 7-8k. And i have seen some 01 and 02's for less than 5 with high milage. I would say that it is a nice car, just be prepared to be stuck with it till its paid off. It will mist likely depriciate 6-8 k in the first year.

I'd love to convert a taurus wagon into a SHO Superwagon. Full ground effects with the SHO V-8. ahhh yeah
