Hello -I was thinking of getting a Vibe, but I prefer the old 2004 "Aztek" nose design over the generic "Super Smooth" grill that Pontiac employs across it's product line. Can a new Vibe be retrofitted to have the old nose? I assume at a minimum, I would need to replace the nose and the hood. Are the side panels and the headlights significantly different too? Thanks,Carlos
Welcome To GenVibe! The 2004 has a two piece nose design and the 2005/2006 has a one piece nose design. There may be different connecting points for the nose piece. Other than that, the hood, headlights and front fenders are the same.

'14 Lincoln MXZ AWD 2.0 Turbo
'14 Nissan Pathfinder AWD SL
'05 Pontiac Vibe AWD
Fenders and Hoods are the same '03~06. Looks like the rebar is different, so it's not all cosmetic. NOPE, wait, the fog lamps are different too...Hmmmm, the headlights carry a different part # from '04 to '05 as well. It could be done, but looks like it would be costly.

Hello -Thank you for your input. This made me do some more researchwithout heading to a Pontiac new/used car lot. Now, I just looked at these pictures on the genvibe gallery and I think that they prove that the headlights and the connectingpoint between the side panels and the bumper are the same. Iam relieved that the hood is the same. Here are the pix (they are *very* big, so DSL is a must) http://gallery.genvibe.com/gal...ull=1http://gallery.genvibe.com/gal...ull=1This is from the drivers side. http://gallery.genvibe.com/gal...ull=1But you're right, I'll bet the cost adds up, I should ask "IMakeVibe".SlotCarloshttp://home.earthlink.net/~cfg83/
i think it should be a pretty easy thing to do. maybe if you find a couple of guys in your area who are willing to remove the front bumper cover. which is all you need to remove. then that would answer all your questions. the front cover might cost 200$ from a junk jard. it shouldn't be expensive.
Mavrik -You're great!!!! I may own the bumper before I own the car! Or is that the cart before the horse? I am still deciding on what car to get, but I have loved the design of the Vibe from the moment I saw it (from behind in a fenced off parking lot in downtown LA near the Shrine Auditorium 6 months before it was introduced). But my decision isn't final, and I also need to convince my wife.SlotCarloshttp://home.earthlink.net/~cfg83/
I know the wife was trying to get rid of it... Its in a huge box. The reason we left it there instead of taking it with us to Alaska... they wanted $$$ to ship it.
