G4 on Sema

Post by binary »

I was flippin' through the stations and found the most annoying show host displaying a civic si, then put the pontiac solstace, then saturn sky.I'm not sure what was more funny - the suit GM put in front of the Solstace or the Walley Cleaver look-alike they had talking about the saturn...Not really who's at fault here... G4/TechTV sucks. Watching it makes me feel like I'm a bullseye for advertisers aiming for males, 12-30... it's so blatent that it's expected I'll see 3 hot chat commercials after 9pm, squeezed in between the ads for EA sports game or FPS of the week.Anyway - the Pontiac looked good...

TechTV used to be great before they dumped all the old guys (i.e. "The Screen Savers") and began marketing to the Ritalin abusers.

It was a good channel before they completely changed The Screen Savers (I miss Patrick and Leo...and Megan...but Morgan annoys me) and before they made it no longer TechTV but actually video game TV. That explains their target market, I think, but I'm wondering if they actually gained more viewership than they lost. TSS had a huge following, and now I don't think it does anymore.

TSS has no following. They killed it off.The good news is that Call For Help is back and with Leo too. But to kind of stick with the topic, if you watch the other car related shows on G4, you'll see that it's junk there too. G4, no more!

I thought it (or at least a very similar show) was still on with Kevin and some new dude the last time I watched...hmmm...but that's been a while. I just remember seeing the LAN party sponsored by Nvidia. They need to give the channel back to ZDnet and start over...LOLThough I'm not so sure car shows should be their thing.

TSS was one of my favorite shows. then it changed to "attack of the show" and i kept watching as it morphed into something completely different than TSS. every once in a while there was something worthwhile on ATOS, but i got tired of wasting my time watching the rest of the crap they put on there. i took it off of my tivo list last month.
