Finally Installed the CAI

Post by Roadpig »

Well I finally did it, I installed the Injen CAI on my 04 Vibe GT. First of all, I want to thank the people on this site who took the time to do a write-up (with pics) on the CAI install. The job looked very intimidating at first, with all these vacuum hoses and sensors etc. Not only that, the Injen instructions SUCK. They should come on here and copy the write-up OK, it took me a few hours Saturday and then another hour or so Sunday to install everything. It all went relatively smoothly except for getting that rubber hose onto the smog thingy. That's another strike against Injen as well engineered this CAI is, they really screwed that up! I ended up shoving the hose into the smog box (per Mase) and taped it up. I mean, c’mon, everything else fits so nicely. After the install I fired up the car & let it idle for ~15minutes and then took it for a ride. It sounds bad *ss when it hits lift. WOW!CEL: it came on for the first two or so days and then went away, so that's good.Again, thx to this forum!
