Snowdrifting

Post by Merzbow »

So...I propose this...since everyone kind of shuts down their car hemisphere in their brains for winter, I think we should do something fun and exciting. We should find a HUGE parking lot or undeveloped subdivision and have a little snow drift contest. Kind of like autocross but with questionable legality and funner! My friend Dima and I last year found a subdivision and used it as a track. Let me tell you, it was a blast!!!My computer messed up and somehow added words to the thread title, so if Mod could kindly change that for me

That is what my father told me to do with every car I own. It teaches you how your car reacts when it looses control. This helps you to learn what to do and not to do when it happens on the road. It has helped me avoid alot of misshaps in my driving life.

Yes sir That's How I learned how to control my car. However, that's how I hit a firehydrant too It's all good though. I've learned my lesson: Don't do it on a main road that's icy at 40mph (removed)!

Heh heh....lolNO! The firehydrant hit me. There was one int he middle of the road and just went I tried to swerve from hitting it, another firehydrant shot out of the trees and speared the side of my car sending me into a spin...yea...that's what happened...Yeah, this is what caused my firehydrant incident lol. Screwing around on a main road on the ice lol...I'm getting a second car for winter and for work. It's a '91 Taurus full sized wagon only 70,000 miles and no rust. Only gettin PLPD so I'm makin this thing into a hardcore winter rally car First thing I'm gettin is dual Borla to unleash that massive V6 in there.

I've heard reports they have two feet of snow right now!

Wish I could go snowdrifting. Never done it but it looks fun! People here in CA freak out at the slightest rainfall! We get more accidents during the rainy season than anything. Wonder what it would be like if it miraculously started snowing!

snow drifting can be fun... just make sure there aren't any large objects or ditches you can hit if you miscalculate or oversteer..... but the subie is a lot of fun in the snow.... been whipping around corners when we get a few inches on the ground.

I just got back from a two hour long drifting trip with two of my buddies, we hit all the local school parking lots, 6 in all, and it was amazing, I just got new tires today becaues thanks to my kumhos and the brand new sheet of ice all around my subdivision, i drove up on some guy's lawn and they're awesome. anyway, i'm definitely for a friendly drifting competition sometime soon edit: I just realized my post makes very little sense...oh well. my new tires are awesome is basically what i was getting at.
