On my new 2006 Vibe factory invoice, there is a 59 buck stainless steel exhaust tip option listed, with a noe that it is delivered with the car and installed by the dealer. My exhaust tip is shiney, but it doesn't look as fancy as the tip shown on pontiac's Vibe accessory page. Is the regular tip from the factory stainless/chrome ? I know it sounds trivial, but I want my 59 bucks worth. Does someone have this option that can comment ? Can someone shoot me a pic of what the factory exhaust tip looks like without this option ?Thanks in advance.
My 2004 GT had the exact same problem.. on the invoice but no tip installed ... go to your dealer and point it out... they will install one.. Well thats what my dealer did.. hope this helps...
$59 seems a little steep. I got mine off eBay for $30 shipped. It is easy to install. Took me 5 mins. Yeah the exhaust tip is for looks. It makes the back end of the car look better in my opinion.

i got mine (non GM) from the local exhaust shop (big chain i forgot which one) it was only $30. and yes, it is one of the 3" so called ricer tips, but i like it. you can't see where it connects to the actual tailpipe.

there is no doubt about it being overpriced. i actually don't like mine. it's a HUGE tip. maybe 5" in diameter...but the difference in the ones you buy from a local shop and do it yourself is that the dealer one gets welded all around. atleast mine is.the local car shop do it yourself gets a few screws around to hold it in place.there is a difference. it can become loose and become road debri as that's happened to me before.but if it's not on the car, and they are charging you for it. ask for you money back.

BUT on most cases. people who do them themselfs.. use the screws they come with to hold them in place.
