to be honest, i didn't know what the hooplah was all about regarding Pontiac's torrent, but after racing a nice blue (don't know the color name) one up the ramp onto the highway, i got to see one really close. its pretty nice!!!!!!!http://www.sacbee.com/content/....htmli'm still happy with my vibe though

This color? That would be "Blue Streak Metallic." IIRC, it's identical to the "Electric Blue Metallic" paint on the G6 line. The Torrent is suprisingly nice. I was paging through some older AutoWeek issues and they said in one of them they preferred the Torrent to the 'nox and the Vue. I checked one out at the dealer...and I have to say, it's quite nice. If it hadn't had atrocious stereotypical SUV economy estimates, I would have been seriously considering one to replace the Vibe. I liked it THAT much. This coming from the guy who HATES SUV's!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Yes, I'm partial to the Vue since I have one (a 4 cyl 2.2L Ecotec, 5-speed), but from what I've read on the Saturn forum, the V-6 3.5L Honda motor they put in them are getting around 25mpg.........and this is with 250hp. (you can only get an automatic in the V-6 though ) If you can live with an 8 inch shorter wheelbase, nearly indestructable polycarb door and fender skins, but it's not quite as attractive as the 'Nox or Torrent, and 250hp, the V-6 Vue may be worth a look. (It's also less expensive)
My mother has an Equinox. It's a great vehicle if you just want a small SUV. Power is okay and the handling isn't bad, but there really isn't anything special about it.The front seats are board flat (read-no lateral support), the driving position is way too straight up and down and it feels like you sitting about 6 inches too high. And for almost $30k loaded, you get drum brakes on the rear.Pass...

The Relay which is a rebadged Chevy minivan has metal, not plastic panels, along with the Sky which I believe has metal panels.
yeah rage! that's the sweet blue...up close and personal, its a nice ride. and at about 22 mpg, it would kick my old 92 rodeo's 4x4 buttthen again, my vibe gives me about as much storage space, more than twice the gas mileage AND better looks than my old 4x4.
