I must be CRAZZZY!

Post by PHXLavaVibe »

I am going to try something I doubt anyone else has attempted. Other than "BlueBatmobile" of course. I am going to attempt to fabricate some custom eyelids for my '05 Vibe. The plan is to take a couple 5 gallon paint buckets, cut off the tops and bottoms, and heat-form them to match my headlights. Hopefully I can get them plyable enough to form around the shape of the lenses and then just cut out my eyelid design, sand a little and paint to match. If this works the way I am wishing it will, than I should have some durrable custom fit eyelids. Ohhh...the things I will do to stand out from the rest.Another crazy idea I have is to fabricate a shark fin that would fit nicely on the roof of my car...Obviously just for looks. Hell I may even create some to put on my fenders..........god, I'm going nuts!!!!!I guess that's what I get from eating all those "frootie loops" as a kid.If anyone's interested i will be posting some pics after inital fabrication.

Post away! We may not like them, but I'm sure many would at least like to see them!

Might be easier to get a piece of lexan from Home Depot, no? They have various sizes and thicknesses.- Ryan

Well, I tried using a paint bucket...total disaster!!! It melted a lot quicker than I thought and became very brittal after it cooled down. I also tried some rubber baseboard trimming. The baseboard trimming works okay but, It doesn't hold paint worth a damn. I have decided to just wait and order some actual eyelids instead of making my own.

yeah like those but I would want mine to be the same colour as my car, or in carbon fibre.
