Rear Wheel Issue/Problem

Post by MJN2 »

I'm driving a GT w/17" rims, and I've noticed that the rear wheel alignment seems really odd. Looks like both rear wheels have a couple of degrees of negative camber to them. My dealership said that the alignment is correct, although they agree that it doesn't look right.Anyone else notice this, or am I seeing things?

Well, after taking a few measurements, I've found that both rear tires have 3 degrees of negative camber to them. Really weird. I'm not looking forward to the uneven tire wear it's going to cause

Specs in the service manual for rear camber (non-adjustable) -1.95 degrees to -0.95 degrees.

I just recently noticed that my Base Vibe also has the same specs as you are stating.. although it may not be as noticable as a GT model.I have seen quite a few other vehicles with the same setup so I am assuming this equals out more when you have rear passengers, rear cargo, towing something, etc.
