There is no car I have ever had that heats up as quickly as the Vibe...that's good in cold weather. However even if I select the fan to be off I still get very noticeable hot air blowing thru the vents and the only way to stop this is close the vents manually. I know my van doesnt 'act' like this ie fan off results in no or almost no heated air coming through the vents. Do others experience this?
Yup. Air comes through my vents even with the fan off.

Turning the switch to off will turn the fan off, but not stop the air flow through the air inlet below the windshield. You will have to turn the temp switch to cold to stop the heat or possibly just pressing the recirculate button might work since it would stop the flow of outside air. What I do is once the cabin warms up to a comfortable temperature during the cold season, I then turn the temp dial to the middle and that keeps it perfect for me; not hot and not cold. This way I also have fresh air still coming in.

Quote, originally posted by Pick »Push the cabin air recycle selector switch to ON.i find that makes the cabin 'stuffy'...and if it's slightly damp out, you've got major window fog issues.i do what JustinVGT does...get to temp, then put it in the middle and enjoy...all while keeping the fan on "LO" and only to top vents (not windshield) while directing those vents up...that gets good circulation throughout the car.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
