Rear Cup Holder

My daughter dropped something into the rear cup holder that is in the center console thinking this was an ashtray. Is there a trick to pulling the cup holder out?I have a 2003 Base.

Many people have removed the center console for mods. I am sure a search will turn up something.

I have done it, but can't remember what was involved. I will check into it tonight or tomorrow and let you know, unless someone else posts up first. I think it was probably two screws and slide the curved assembly out, but I'll check and let you know, if I still need to by the time I can. The rear cup holder is a separate piece, I have a spare if anyone ever breaks theirs. EDIT - cup holder gone to metsoIf it was something you need to recover, it probably fell all the way through and you could get to it by pulling out the entire center console (four screws and one wire). I think the rear cup holder is cool. Reminds me of some sort of mandibles off a giant ant from a 50's B monster movie or something

My son put a straw in the slot. I removed the center console for the mod thinking the straw would just fall out. No such luck. once I got the center console out I had to shake the straw out.
