I'm kind of thankful I won't be voting in this election up here, because the commercials I've seen about issues 2-5 have told me absolutely nothing about what they're about, and both seem to be saying the same thing -- that whether you vote yes or no, you will be supporting corruption no matter what. Which I'm sure is not the case. And now I just saw one that only talked about issue 3, and said to vote no, right after one telling you to vote "yes" on all 4 issues because the Governor is the one behind the "vote no" campaign. Sheesh. So what are these four issues really about? Have they been a bit more informative on these issues anywhere else in the state?I certainly don't envy those who will be casting their ballots on these particular issues, as there is obviously a big decision to be made since people are bothering to campaign both for and against these 4 issues (while issues 1 and 6 only have "pro" campaigns), but no effort is being made to educate the community here on what these issues are *really* about...
#2 expands absentee ballots so anyone can vote by mail if they find that more convenient - that has now already been done by the legislature. #3 supposedly limits campaign contributions#4 changes the redistricting process by having it done by an "independent" board. #5 creates yet another bureaucracy to oversee elections. Never heard of #6#1 has been defeated before - backed by some politicians that think Ohio can borrow itself into prosperity.
