I have a nice exhaust on my civic si, but my wife constantly complains of the noise level. The deep rumble gives her headaches especially on the freeway.I want to get a nice system on my Vibe, but I'm not sure what to get.PLEASE HELP!!!I want something that is going to give me the HP boost and increased airflow but not much noise. What are my options here...if any?

I put the borla cat-back on mine and it is a little louder, that is until I hit lift. then, it kinda screams. but on a base it should be alright. helps a lot on the low end power too.
Asking for a powerful exhaust that doesn't make much noise is kinda like asking for a strong drink, but with out the alcohol...it's doesn't work that way.Just about all aftermarket exhausts for these cars are aimed to produce more noise since that's what the majority of tuners like. IMO, if you want the most power with the least amount of noise just go custom. Get bigger piping like 2.25", a long resonator, and a large chambered muffler.
Check out the setup I used -- the sound level inside is basically stock (maybe 10% increase in noise inside), but there is a bit more growl and its got a simple but pretty tip to finish it off ...http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=19815
