Cat fur

Post by rasermon »

I received this e-mail the other day, thought I would share it with you.For all of you cat lovers - BEWARE!! Please No Flames. I have two dogs and I do like cats also."My sister-in law is from Oklahoma and has a slight accent. She has cats and when she lived in the south she would take them to the groomers and have what is called a Line Cut. To her a line cut is when all of the fur hanging down below the cat's tummy is taken off (because it gets matted or snarled). When she moved to Chicago with my brother, one of the cats fur got all tangled up during the move so she took it in for a line cut. She was quite surprised when she heard the price as it was twice as much as it was down south. She confirmed with the groomer that he understood what a line cut was and he said "yes, I know what a LION cut is." It seems her accent came out sounding like LION not LINE and this is how her cat was returned to her. (see PHOTOS) She cried for a week...but not as much as the cat. It was November in Chicago and the cat needed all the fur it had." Gas in car to go to groomers $4.50 Cat car carrier $32.99 Grooming fee $80.00 Getting the look from one seriously pissed off cat: Priceless!

You don't mean to tell me she paid the groomer. I'll be D###ed if I would of,plus I think I would of sued the groomer if the cat died as a result of braving the cold with no fur. Yes the cat looks mad -they have feelings to.And I'll tell you they are smarter than we think.I guess by now her fur is growing back. But anyway --a funny post and Thanks for sharing. James

Poor cat... but still I almost killed myself laughing at its expression. I have seen my parent's cat do that and I swear she would have ripped someone's face off if they had been close enough. I was young and put a tiny knit touque on her head - she looked so cute except for the "Come a little closer so I can scratch your eyeballs out" look on her face. James is right cats are very smart and do have feelings.

I was hesitant on posting this, because I know we have many members that have cats and also what James (Vibe) went through with his cat. If I received one negative comment on this post, I would delete it...Thanks

Hahahaha! Oooooo that cat is so miffed. The cats face alone gets me rolling. Use to have to do this to my parents Himalayan(forgive spelling). His hair was very long and would get matted all over. He hated the shave, but afterwards he felt better. This cat seems to take it personal.

My brother showed me this from an email he got from his girlfriend. I almost peed myself. That is so freaking funny.

That cat looks mighty upset... I did the same to my long haired cat except shaved the paws. She was embrarassed and hid for about a week. She apparantly liked it after a while in the Texas summer heat...
