I installed it today for the third time and yahoo!!! It works, thanks to Black_TRD of MatrixOwners.I had bought an e-Manage piggyback computer about 6 months ago on eBay. I sent it to Matt @
http://www.MonkeyWrenchRacing.com to get a N/A tune for my Vibe with an intake, exhaust and 92 octane fuel. I installed it with the Main Harness, Injector Harness(which controls the fuel injector duty cycle) and Ignition Harness(which controls the ignition timing). It has just a basic tune for now. I will be getting it dyno tuned at a later date to fine tune the settings and get the most hp and torque increase possible:Normally the e-Manage is hardwired into the cars stock main wiring harness. But, I used an ECU Patch harness from
http://www.AutoSportWiring.com so now it is plug and play like the Unichip: I followed the directions from GReddy but when I installed it the first time it ran like crap for 2-3 seconds and died. Obviously something was not wired correctly. I consulted with people from GV and MO and found out that the timing harness needed to be wired differently than what I found in the GReddy instructions. I rewired it and still had the same problem so I gave up on it. I consulted with Black_TRD on MO, since he has the same set-up with the patch harness, and he agreed to take a look at it. so, I shipped my wiring rats nest down to Puerto Rico. It looked like a mess to me but after he looked at it he said it was't too bad. I received it back today and installed it this evening. I was apprehensive at first but it started right up and I let out a big sigh of relief. Whew! I et it run for a little bit then took it for a test drive and immediately noticed a difference. Before, my car was idleing a little rough now it is smooth, the acceleration is quicker and smoother and the shifting is smoother as well. I am very please with the result.I was wanting to do a write up on the wiring and installation but it didn't go so well. So, I won't be doing one. But, I attached the e-Manage to the bottom of the stock ECU with 3 strips of Velcro. I stuffed the wiring up next to where the cabin filter is located. You can't tell it is there unless you look underneath or take out the glove box. I would not have been able to install this myself and enjoy the benefits of the e-Manage now if it were not for the help of Black_TRD rewiring my ignition harness. Thank you for your help!
