Potential swimming pool trouble

I have an inground swimming pool in my back yard and I notice something strange in it...I'm living in this house only for 18 month and I don't know all about swimming pool.As the winter is coming, I empty half of the water from the pool and remove all the water in the piping.Few day after this, I noticed some irregular shapes in the pool....I don't know what caused this... Last year it did not make this at all.Look at the picture and judge by yourselfWhat should I do with this situation?Do I have to remove all the water from the pool and full it up again?Can I keep it as it for the winter and take care of this next spring?Will it come back like is should be by itself?I really don't have 2500$ to spend in my pool right now to replace the liner.....

Well it looks like the linening (or whatever they call it) is geting old. This is what happened with the pool at my parents motel. But I am not 100%.

It is hard to tell but something is wrong. My sisters pool had a leak in it and a similar thing happened as the water washed the sand out from the bottom. They had to get a new liner.

Looks like your liner is warping or something. Most likely due to aging. Yeah I agree, pools are expensive! That's why I'm trying to avoid buying a house with a pool!

my father-in-law leaves his pool filled all winter, he just puts a breathable liner over the top of it. come spring, a few gallons of bleach and a good cleaning and it's good as new. oh and i believe there is an amount of anti freeze in the lines.

I called 2-3 swimming pool store and they told me the same thing.With the weather we got those last weeks, it is normal and as soon as we will get some sunny days in a row the water between the fondation and the liner will go out.I'm happy to hear I will not have to replace the liner, as it is only 5 years old

Yup time for a new liner. You can just leave it like it is now and get a new one after winter. We just replaced ours this year about $3000.00 for our new one big it's a really big pool. They say now that a liner should be lasting about 12-13 years. We leave our pool filled all winter also. We cover it and then just leave it.

I'm glad I have an above ground pool. I drain it down to the skimmer and cover it for winter.
