Yes, Katrina paid us a nasty visit, For myself I'm blessed with only minor damage by comparison. The storm blew over all my trees and took part of the roof. No more fence to keep the animals in but other than that no major problems. Now its the insurance companies that are the headache. Oh well its just another day

Can't send a map but a brief description is: from Louisianna to Dallas to Carlsbad NM, to Phoenix AZ, to Grand Canyon to Mesa Verde Co, to Moab, Natural Bridges and Arches in Ut, to Yellowstone NP Wy, to Mount Rushmore Sd, to Denver Co and the Rockies then back home. All on backroads and no Interstate driving. It was just awesome. Best gas mileage I got was 46mpg and worst was 32 mpg. Not a single problem with the car and it was loaded to the max. 3 persons and camping gear and cooler and clothes for 4 weeks. Love my baby SUVCould descrbe in detail but it would take a year. All I can say it will be a memory of a lifetime. Recommend everyone do it just once in their life. Plan on another excursion like it to the north east in the comming year(s)

You did it right by taking 4 weeks. In 2000, I took my wife and mother-in-law on a 5700-mile trip to California and back in 15 days. We hit a lot of National Parks like you, just no camping. Lessee...we did Sequoia/Kings Canyon, Muir Woods, Yosemite, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, and a few days in San Fransisco, too.Yep...you got me thinkin' it's time for another trip...
