New windshield installed today

Post by 4X4CHICHI »

I had my windshield replaced today. (It was hit by a rock a while back.) The whole operation only took about 1 hour. It's nice to not have to look through a cracked windshield. I'll stay a little further back from construction dump trucks for now on.

Don't stay back from them, pass them. I've seen rocks bounce for a quarter mile behind a construction truck, just to hit my car. Now I just pass them.

The Vibe is a rock magnet. I have never been hit with so many rocks in any vehicle in my life. I cringe when I see a truck.

How much did the replacement set you back?

I went through three windshields on my last car in 136k miles. My second windshied took a rock that bounced off the car in front of me, I think it hit his windshield and richocheted (sp?) up into the air... landed right on mine. How much did the new glass set you back? Who did it for you?
