As ragingfish put it so well: I recommend Metra parts, and if at all possible, avoid components. I had them, and they were CRAP!Tried the quick/easy/cheap pickup the parts at walmart while I was there... Tried the Scosche PT2049 available on the shelf for less than $10. The instructions were worse than useless. When it was installed the trim with the a/c and flasher switches etc was smaller than the install kit, could not put trim on all the way unless I was going to cut into the trim. I had to drive my vibe for the day with the trim only 90% on, got the Metra for $20 at circuit city and in a quarter of the time I spent playing with the scosche I had a professional looking install. While I was switching the install brackets, there is no way you can secure the back bolts on the bracket, it's not even close to matching up with the holes. The front bolt points were already weakened to the point that they were about to break. The wiring harness (gm05)
I was only after the basics, biggest bang for the buck w/mp3. Dual 6820 plays mp3/wma with ipod input. On sale last week at best buy for $90, with $15 reward points the total with intall kit and wiring adaptor was about $110. Beats the standard am/fm/cd that came with my vibe hands down, but AM is real weak (antenna adaptor loss?).My main reason for posting with a title like this was to keep others from wasting their time w/schosce install kit. The search function on the forums is pretty specific wanted to cover the things most likely to be searched for in title.I'll try to post pic tomorrow, in case there is anyone interested in seeing how much better the basic aftermarket can look than the POS that comes standard..

Below is photo of install. Note on far left of HU display: mp3/wma, right side of display iplug logo (iplug itself located in console), for about $110! Tray under HU with just enough space to store several cds for easy access. 200 watts RMS is probably more then the factory speakers can handle!
