My friend had a set of 15" VW 5x100 winter rims with a 195/65/15 Tires from a 2000 VW Jetta. I tried them on my 2005 Vibe and the rims fit however the centre hole seemed to be a little larger, when I tried it on my vibe. I did know if that makes a difference once you tighten the bolts. Might be something you want to check. May have just been just those rims.

There are several opinions around various forums about hubcentric (where the wheel sits on the rotor hub) and boltcentric (where the wheels and hence the entire vehicle is supported by the bolts rather than the hub) wheels. Some say that if your wheel is boltcentric that you should be using hubcentric adapters. Others say that as long as the lugnuts are tightened properly while the wheel is off the ground (so that the bolts pull the wheel centered) that you should be ok. I'm of the opinion that you should use hubcentric wheels because the bolts on our cars are not designed to support the full weight of our vehicles for extended periods of time. Or use adapters to make them hubcentric. This of course depends how much room there is between the rotor hub and the wheel hub.
