I'm pretty sure the second Monday in October is Thanksgiving in Canada.BTW: I'd wish them a nice afternoon of sitting around on the couch, drinking Molson and watching football (er, hockey), but that's what they always do.Just kidding...

I'm not sure where that comes from because NO ONE I know calls it a Chesterfield. They might call it a sofa as opposed to a couch, but chesterfield...?I just got back from my second Turkey dinner. I love brussel spouts! Mmm yummy. Got some leftover gobbler too.

Happy Thanksgiving. And Columbus Day is a crock. Sure he might have discovered the Americas for the Europeans which is how we came to be here today. But the raping and pillaging kinda make that a moot point.

I was wondering about that. Redlava, right on man. Anyway, now that it's almost the next day, happy thanksgiving up there eh, for the next few seconds!

ya, i never did figure out what Columbus Day was a big deal growing up. besides, the america's were named after Amerigo Despuci (sp?) and not even Columbus! plus, the Vikings discovered North America well before Columbus was even thought of in existence! and as someone has already mentioned, why celebrate a guy who wiped out entire peoples and their cultures? that's like having a Hitler day in Germany! (ok, well sorta, but you get what i mean).
I hardly celebrate holidays... let alone try and keep track of canadian ones on an american calander lol... so a late happy thanksgiving to my fellow canadians.
