YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
The curb is probably painted yellow... Doesn't matter - the law is universal in most parts of the world. I know some firemen who have gently pushed offenders out of the way with the command vehicle to make room for hoses going to hydrants. The main trucks have a supply of water they can use - but need to be hooked up for fighting larger fires. In the mean time - you find a hydrant and get the hose to it any way possible - you get bonus points for creativity.
there dont need to be a sign against law to park whithin 30 or 50 feet of a fire hydrant!! now that guy who was probably in a hury will now have to wait till the firemen are done and that will be at least some point after the ticket is issued. If i were the firement I'd probably drain the hose in the car when i was done...
I am with all of you here...I too hope the hose did leak, it was more a joke since the owner already had two broken windows! The sign reference was more for an insult to the owner since everyone knows or should know you cannot park there sign or not...
Gotta love firemen. And when that guy parked there I am positive that he said to himself "What are the chances of their being a fire when I am parked here." I'd say about 100%. LOL Douche Bag.
I remember watching an episode of The Third Watch where someone parked in front of a hydrant, they had to break his windows... and the hose leaked... the owner showed up all mad and went to assult one of the firemen. The police hauled him off and even threatoned to charge him with murder as because his car was in the way... someone died in the fire they could not get water to in time to put out.
