Can you give us a first hand experience of what you did, etc.? Many (most) of us didn't go there to help and it would be nice to hear the facts from somebody that was there. Thanks and welcome back!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
THe people of New Orleans greatly appreciate you and your efforts. I try to make it a point to thank and applaude all the out of state emergency forces and the military forces when I see them. I just hope that you and your buddies understand what it means to us that you came down here to help us and, in some cases, protect us when we most need it.And, let me just say, despite being 36 years old, army trucks are coooool... Makes me want to raise the ol' Vibe a few inches, put on some big mudders, paint it a flat cammo green, and put a 50 caliber turret on the back (but, then, that just might make me pathetic...)...Again, thank you... thank all who have helped my fair city...hjwii
well one thing i'm leaving the 82nd soon desert dweller. anyways, when i was in N.O. i didn't do anything but walk the streets in the warehouse district near the convention center, and the superdome. i didn't stop anyone from looting. i didn't even help to clean up. all i did was walk around. and then for the last week and a half i sat in a parking garage waiting for hurrican rita to hit. pretty much no help from me

Glad to hear your back. Sounds like you were pretty bored down there.Maybe you can put some excitement back into your life by modding your Vibe. Maybe a fifty cal. mount would be sweet. It would move traffic out of the way.
