D'oh!

Post by silver_vibe »

I know no one probably cares, but I just got my first ticket in the Vibe. I feel like crap. 60 in a 40.

Heh, I'll just say that your avatar seems strangely appropriate now. Sorry to hear that, but you know what they say...

Maybe a little of both. Well if it makes you feel any better, I pulled a stupid and made a u-turn in front of an officer on Friday. Luckily, I was on an empty street and I guess he decided I wasn't worth it. At any rate, we all make mistakes.

I was trying to get used to 10 psi last thursday night and accidently hopped over a 4 lane intersection (she got away from me for a sec. ). Other side of the intersection was a cop. Oops! But when I'm driving 'normal' I get a ticket for passing a semi on the interstate so I can make my exit!?

that's the worst! when you start second guessing and wondering 'why in the world did i go THAT way today??'i got my first ever ticket last november (in my vibe)...he wrote me up for 90 in a 70 zone (that's km/h by the way ) but i know (and he mentioned) that i was doing about 20km/h above that. it was a beautiful morning and no other cars around in the back farm country of southern ontario....sheesh.talked about it here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=13568
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

I got pulled over but no ticket by a cop on christmas eve. He was doing a quick drive through the dealership lot I was driving past. At least going 90-100km on a 70 zone. Of course he didn't have radar proof of my speed and since I saw him pull out behind me, he followed me at the speed limit before pulling me over. Asked me how fast I was going, I said "80-90 sir? not really sure, just got off work and trying to get home." Now this also being christmas eve at 10:30pm and no record cause he ran my info, he let me go. Also... nicely reminded me that even though I had the correct sticker on the plate, my insurance in my glove box was expired back in June... "This is a warning young man, you have a good christmas eh?"and let me go. Man I drove slow after that and dug out my correct insurance info.

I'm just a lucky *******, I've never been pulled over, the last instance was I was doing 115 in a 65, and the cop off the road just flashed his lights at me. I guess he figured he wasnt going to catch me.... lol.

I never got off with a warning, I just get a "failure to obey traffic laws" or something to that effect, it takes no points and the fine is $92. I >knock on wood< have not been pulled over in the Vibe.
