Anybody seen this on their Vibe? Obviously it's radiator fluid, but I'm not sure how it got there...there is no residue on the cap nor on the overflow resevoir nor the line the runs from the radiator to the overflow resevoir. It's just crusted around the rubber mount for the radiator (and only on the passenger-side mount). The fluid level is fine at cold, the air temperature is moderate and the engine temp is within range. If the cap was letting off pressure, I'd expect residue around it...but it's clean. Any ideas?
have you brought your car in for an oil change recently? they sometimes provide 'complimentary' top ups of other fluids. maybe somebody decided to add a little and spilt some?
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
No, the car has never been in for any services (it only has 1,000 miles and I did the first oil change myself). However, I cleaned off the junk just now and I'll see if it returns anytime soon.BTW: The residue has a crystalline look/feel to it...sort of like when you get that white build-up around battery terminal posts.
