Perfect Fit hood guard question

I've narrowed my choices down to the Perfect Fit and WeatherTech. Does the Perfect Fit use rubber bumpers on the hood to prevent scratches or is it stiff enough that you don't need anything on the hood?Thanks,Dave

There are rubber bumpers that come with it that should be placed on the hood. The protector sits about a half of an inch off of the hood.
