Anybody besides me anxiously awaiting for next year when Pontiac brings out the REALLY hot Solstice? Got a feeling I'll be selling my Grand Prix next year. Then I'll have to see which I like best... the Vibe or the Solstice.Any of you interested in buying a perfect, bright red '97 Grand Prix GTP next year? It will probably have about 36,000 miles or so on it by then. (Has 32,122 right now.)
Here in "The Great White North" apparently they aren't due until September. I was at a dealer today weighing the possibility of trading in the enemic Vibe for a red Cobalt SS with 205HP and the salesman said they won't be in until then. I think Houston was refering to the supercharged Soltice coming out next year.

I've read they are going to put a supercharged Ecotec in it also, but others say a turbo. Anyone know for sure???
The regular Solstice that just came out is rated at 177 hp. Spyshots have been seen of a so-called GXP version that is turboed, and they have been seen on the road by numerous people, including myself and my father, and can be differentiated from the normal ones by their dual exhaust outlets. This Solstice GXP will supposedly be rated around 210-220 hp, but official numbers haven't been released.

COUGH COUGH!)
Just got my latest issue of "Road & Track" yesterday with their review of the Solstice. They gave it a fantastic review! It's also the first time I've had a really good look at the car - It looks awesome. I think both the exterior and interior styling are great. Judging by the review, it's also a wonderful car to drive.Good to see Pontiac come out with another great car!
