Nice Forum

Post by VibeosaurusRex »

Been here a few days and every one seems pretty mellow. I bounce around the GTO forums and there seems to be a lot of haters, posers, and just out right crack heads.I guess its just a diffrent croud. Cheers!

I've been around a lot of forums too and I think the success of this one is in part due to the moderators.

if the moderators are the reason why we don't get people on here that feel like they need to prove how much better they are then everyone else...more power to them!one of the few forums i've been to where everybody comes off as 'equals'.even the 'political thread', as controversial as it gets, keeps things civil and in the end we all (?) realize that we have our opinions and we're not about to change the world by being a$$es on the site!I've been on here for over a year now and i'm afraid i've never said 'good job' to the genvibe crew.Good job!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

most members and moderators do their best to respect each other. if something gets out of hand, the moderators do a great job attending to those issues quickly. that way it keeps it off the forums and in private where it should be. kudos to all the members and mods! great job!

I'm guessing the Vibe doesn't have much crackhead appeal. I really don't know why, but for some reason this site has less of the static that I find in so many other places on the interweb. The folks here, gotta love 'em... The fact that I can actually read most of the posts here since they aren't written with stuff like "yo u suck i pwn3d dis vip3r wit my civic cuz i g0tz dis big fart can and sp0il3r!" makes it worth sticking around. I don't know how we ended up with people here that are reasonably mature, but I definitely won't complain. I've tried visiting other sites, (ahem, and that one other site, you know) and it just makes my brain shut off after a minute or two. Trolling here stays at a minimum, thank god for that. In general, it's pretty darn friendly.Welcome aboard to you and all of our new folks... Glad you found us, and glad to have you among us. We look forward to getting to know you all... It's a nice place, and I'm certain it will continue to stay that way for some time to come. I'm glad I found it, and I'll still be here once the Vibe is gone.
