Well as you all probably know, Sunny(sunburst orange Vibe)died an untimely death one month ago today in a double roll over accident. Today he was reincarnated. We picked up our new '06 Abyss 5 speed with pwr package today. The orange was nice but the Abyss is awesome and much more stealthy. Everybody within a 20 mile radius knew our orange Vibe. Yeah, we live in a small town. It's great to be Vibbin' again. Now I have to start all the mods over again. I wish there was a supercharger available for the '06 5 speed.

Hmm, interesting... Do you still have the ability to control the dome lights with the instrument panel light intensity control on the dash like you could on the old car? Or now, if you want 'em off or on, you have to reach up and hit the switches on each light?Very interesting indeed... AFAIK the 05 was not like that,

The 05 has both the dome lights on the single on/off/dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel. If you have individuals, I'm jealous! They actually improved something! Go GM!

Congrats on Vibe #2. i know what you mean about the high visibility factor with the fusion color. My wife and I constantly hear "I saw your wife/husband driving" reports from friends and co workers. In our area of about 70,000 we seem to have the only fusion vibe, but we're adding color to the road! Abyss was our second choice if we couldn't have found a fusion when we replaced our old vibe.enjoy the new '06john

"Shade" is a good idea. We were thinking "Raven". Is it possible to change Genvibe names without losing God status etc.? I found another difference in the '06 today, the pocket on the back of the drivers seat is gone, which sucks. Oh, Colonel Panic, the dash dimmer switch no longer has any control of the dome lights.

I'm still envious about the dome lights! I've always been annoyed by the all-in-one dial.
