Just picked up my 2005 Vibe on Friday night. Abyss in color base FWD 5 speedLovin it so far and you guys helped me make my decision. I actually was reading some posts here before buying. Hopefully don't have the paint problems some people have had.
Welcome to GenVibe and the family! We keep getting larger and larger...Anywho, hope you find answers on any questions you may have regarding your Vibe. If not, I'm sure one of us will have an answer! As for the paint chips, yeah I've got em all over the place. I'm just waiting for more paint chips to appear so that when it's REALLY noticeable I'll get a paint job done.

Current car: 2011 Red Hyundai Elantra. Last Vibe: 2005 Fusion Vibe A/T, power group, moon and tunes, ABS, alloy wheels, window tinting, stone/bug shield. First Vibe: 2003 Salsa Two Tone, A/T, power group, totaled by my son in a rollover accident, 7-8-2004
I wish I had the funds to make my Vibe look as nice as some of yours. For now it's stock 16" Wheels with Hubcaps. Ugh....Thinking about tint although it's illegal here to tint the front side windows so I don't know how it look with the back windows done but not the side (passenger & driver) windows. if anyone has pics I would love to see (especially on an Abyss Vibe). Thanks for all the welcomes, I've been reading up a lot the past few days and enjoy seeing the pictures of everyones cars.
Welcome to the site follow Maritimer. I just purchased a vibe in August as well base Neptune auto with power package from Carroll Pontiac Buick. You will be glad you have the stock wheels when the winter comes. By the way their is a place in Dartmouth Superior tinting which quoted me $225 to tint the rear windows and hatch. Said they have done alot of vibes and matrixs. Maybe they have some samples of their work. Don't know if that's a good price but when I spoke to Standard auto glass who I trust from previous experiences, they recommended them.Enjoy your car .
Hey goodvibrations nice see a fellow Haligonian. I purchased from MacPhee's in Dart. just because caroll's only had 1 red Vibe in stock. Someone else recommended Superior in Dart. so I may check them out. $225 sounds decent, but I haven't shopped around. I wonder what kind of tint they use ?Lovin' the Vibe so far !
Welcome to another HRM vibe owner. I have seen lots in the area but none here. I have an 03 Abyss vibe with tinted rear windows. I used to have all the windows tinted but when I moved from Ontario I had to remove the front tint. I think it looks great on black cars and gives privacy when you don't have a trunk, since the tonneau cover is a peice of crap. I don't have any pics and my digital camera is broken so just watch for me on the streets of Dartmouth (where I live) or Halifax (where I work) to see an abyss with tinted windows.
Welcome from another new Vibe owner!!! I too picked up an Abyss, and just got my windows tinted - here's a pic of mine, I choose to go with the gradient metallic and loved the way it turned out!!Here is the backendDue to some messup with my paperwork at the dealership, they did the window tinting for me for free -
The rims were on the vibe when I purchased it, actually, they threw them in - I made the deal on the vibe and told them to take them off and put stocks on 'cause this purchase was financial one for me and I didn't want to pay the extra $$ for them - when I picked it up, they told me they were leaving them on (course I was thrilled) - just took a look, they are MB Motoring rims - think they are 16" - there wasn't a lot of information on them with the car.
Webgurl that is very cool. Havent seen too many tint jobs like that. Goes well with the wheels too. I think I'll stick to the normal tint (haven't decided what %) but that is nice.Snoman, if you get a chance to snap some pics, I would love to see them. I'm wondering how the tint will look without the 2 front windows done. Stupid N.S. laws... Too bad there aren't more Vibe owners on here, it would be cool to have a little meet. I'm not in Dartmouth much but if I see an Abyss Vibe with tint I'll be sure to wave/honk I work in Bedford and live in White's Lake (on Prospect Road)
