Art for the hardcore geeks (you know who you are!)

Post by ColonelPanic »

Wow... I stumbled upon this gem tonight. Simple concept, take the linux kernel source code and make a pretty picture from it using HTML. Seeing the sheer size of the thing, you won't be able to make much out of it unless your browser will allow you to zoom out on the page. (ahem, Opera anybody?) For those not able to zoom out, I've taken screen shots. The detail is just astonishing up close, and looking at it zoomed out, wow. I don't even want to know how long it took to create this!

A gentle wind would crash IE. No seriously, check your updates and consider Firefox. There are at least 20 critical unpatched flaws with IE that could cause your PC to crash. I use XP and set my account to have "User" access only. Occassionally IE will hang when a site is trying to write protected files.Good luck

That is one moster of a HTML file... I can see how a browser could have trouble with it actually... IE or not. Sorry 'bout crashing your stuff though. All in the name of Unix-like operating systems, that's gotta suck.
