Microsoft Innovation--An Oxymoron

Post by MACMANIAC »

You just gotta love microsoft. Now they are being slammed by a magazine that (as a MAC user) I don't bother reading.http://www.pcworld.com/howto/a...0.aspI'm no windows fan (obviously) but I thought this was harsh:Multiple press releases for your new and improved operating system in a computer magazine: zero dollarsCopying the competition's good ideas and retaining a bad one that you actually did originate: Millions of dollarsHaving motorola develop a windows mobile phone, long after BlackBerry and Treo: Millions of dollarsCopy of PC magazine to read about new computer products: Five DollarsReading that your new and improved system is neither origional nor impressive, and is a day late and several dollars short: Priceless! For innovation and stability from someone with a quickly increasing market share there is MAC OS XFor the "same old, same old" from a company who's founder just cant seem to get the bugs out of his system there is microsoft.Windows: It's nothing it is cracked up to be.

lol, YES! i love that mac os X tiger got freaking awesome reviews and is said to be the best GUI OS out there, Apple is innovative and i love it. Windows vista is pretty much trying to clone what os X has done since release, sad but look at apple slowly take the pc shares from windows :D. the only cool thing i read about vista is that it can use a usb flash drive for virtual ram, it would be a cheap way to boost performance slightly.other than that im not impressed with windows but its faily decent to use and its on most systems so i dont see it being beating anytime soon. but mac osx is THE best OS to use hands down for "most" users that use windows and want something better without having to know any linux/unix commands. and with mini macs so cheap, as cheap as a 64bit amd athlon system its so worth going mac!

I just could not believe this guy threw down like that. Think he will keep his job long when gates and the PC faithful start to complain. That either took a whole lot of guts or a whole lot of dead brain cells.

bah he is just telling the truth Well i think its the truth of the new vista, ive heard many reviews from ppl that have used it and its just abou the same thing they said. its nothing special and its a clone of a os X wanna be, o well MS cant be innovative, they will take the hit when they lose market share, they are the cause of their demise

I'm waiting for the Microsoft "innovation" that doesn't suck... I guess that would be the Microsoft Vacuum. I doubt it would do much suckin' with the damn thing blue screening all the time. hehNice article. Innovate, innovate, innovate. They've been blabbing on and on about innovation and how they need their "freedom to innovate" for years, but honestly I see /dev/null in the innovation department coming from Redmond.Unless you call taking perfectly good concepts and *******izing the hell out of them until they are barely functional innovation. No thanks, I'll stick with Linux and OS X.
