Remote Starter

Post by FLABSLAB »

Hello again folks! Quick update OMV (on my vibe). I did the ac insulation mod, and it worked great.....almost too good....freezes you out on high. Also, I had a remote starter professionally installed on my Vibe. I don't know why I didn't do that with every car I've owned. It is pretty neat. AND, this winter when it's dark and cold outside, I can start my car from the warmth of my house while I stand in my undies (EEEEK!)Only question I have is....I've seen some talk about weak batteries in cold weather. I have a 2005 base with auto trans. Is this something that I'm going to have trouble with?

you shouldnt have any issues!!!they upgraded the batteries for the 05 year...to besure, look at the CCA number and if its more than 330 you have the better battery.

I just got an AstroStart 2205 installed on my 2004. A remote starter is almost necessary in good 'ol North Dakota. I also purchased a battery warmer and am getting a block heater installed later this month. We need all the help we can get when it hits -30 in January!!!
