Almost continued the growing trend...

Post by Mavrik »

On my way back to work I have to make a right hand turn onto a main street which I drive most of the way back. Well there are two lanes that turn right onto this street and I'm on the inside left lane that turns to the right. Well I pull up beside a red chevy pickup and take the turn a little behind him but beside all the same and whats he do? He takes the corner and pulls directly into my lane. I was already going 40mph, still making the turn, in 2nd gear with my foot down accellorating out of the corner. I was pretty well beside him when he decided to do this which brought me slamming on the brakes to barely miss getting hit. Well I was to concerned with "ok I didn't get hit" and downshifting to 1st to get going again to even bother getting my fist on the pitiful horn. I didn't bother giving him the finger either as he looked pretty startled when he realised my bright orange car had been there. I got a wave, a shrug and he pulled out of my way to let be get past him. Nice enough for a blind person... anyway...I almost joined the "I got hit" club.

You got lucky there. I almost got hit bringing my Vibe home from the dealer today by an elderly gentlemen who decided to pull out from a median without looking. I was pretty angry actually, it would suck to get a brand new car totalled before you even make it home.. Down here in sunny Florida we have great weather all year round, but the tradeoff is an excess of elderly drivers who have difficulty seeing or hearing anything.

Cars have been aiming for me lately. There is a side street that I drive on quite a bit to go to the store and other places, and for some reason people keep pulling out in front of me. There are a few cars parked on the side of the street, but nothing that would obstruct their view. I have had three people pull out in front of me in the last couple of weeks. Sorry to say and don't be offended but they have all been women. People just need to look and concentrate on what they are doing. Believe it or not there are other people on the road.

I just had some assnard riceboy with his civic with poorly installed hid kit (that blinded me!) pull out right smack in front of me. It was a close one. But worry not my friends, sir knocksalot is probably too evil of a car to ever die. Only the good vibes die young. This evil ******* shall outlive them all! heh I may not have the car to find out for sure, but it's just a guess. Waiting for the odometer to start counting backwards...I however, worry for all those good Vibes out there... THey seem to be dropping like flies! Well, two suggestions, my friends: [1] Make your car take lessons from mine, or [2] be careful out there!

3 younger kids were riding their chopper bicycles in the same direction as me on the side of the road just ahead. 2 of them decide to cross the road without even looking back ! (removed) I couldn't believe it, luckily I wasn't going too fast and didn't have to slam the brakes on. The last kid actually looked and when he saw me, stayed put until I drove by. I can't believe kids these days.

well I didn't survive yesterday completely unscathed... at the apartment complex there is a parking lot for 3 cars, plently of room unless someone parks like an (removed)... and someone usually does. Well its the only place I can park so I had to squeeze in between two cars... well someone put their door into mine sometime last night or this morning. I got a dent in the trim along the driverside rear door...
