I have the moon and tunes (without the XM or cd changer) and noticed that with certain songs, the speaker grille rattles, but it goes away when I press down on it. I don't think the speaker is blown, I was just wondering if this problem could be fixed by the dealership, with some sort of vibration dampener/absorber?
It could be the door panel not seated properly..or something loose in the door.. The speaker is actually riveted to the inner door panel, so maybe it's missing a rivet? You can have them take the panel off and look..

It only rattles when I play certain songs - so it happens sporadically, especially songs with a lot of bass - like "Heard em Say" by Kayne. I usually set the lows on the EQ to 4+ with most of the songs of my iPod, but with this song, to not hear the rattling, I have to turn the lows down to 2+ because the bass is pretty high anyways. If it was blown, it would be more of a constant rattling that I would hear more often, right?
yes and no, is it all of them or a cetain one. the rattleing can also be from cutting in and out. play bia bia by lil jon and tell me how much they rattle

Both of my door panels have rattled like hell since the beginning. Still do, even after the moon & tunes amp whacked out and blew the front speakers, so I had to install replacement oem speakers. So I know it's not the speakers rattling...Try pushing against the door panels and see if the rattle goes away, that's what I have to do with my car. Depending on what I'm listening to, I'll have to keep my leg pushed up against the door for quite some time. Not particularly comfortable, but I've never been able to isolate the source of the rattle, let alone attempt to resolve it.If it's the grilles themselves, check to see if you have any cracking on the speaker grilles. It's odd, but both of my speaker grilles up front are cracked in the center. I don't know how the heck that happened, but sure enough - I'll try to get some pics of that.

The rattling temporarily goes away when i lightly press down on the top left corner of the grille.Hey Colonel Panic, how much did one OEM speaker cost, and did you get it online or through the dealer. I'm hoping that the rattling problem I'm having is fixable, because I just got my Vibe a little over a month ago. I'm still covered on the 3-month warranty, are speakers usually included, or no?
I actually bought them from another member here for the cost of shipping. We should still have some around that may have the OEM speakers left, maybe someone can hook you up.Speakers should be included in the whole bumper-to-bumper warranty, some manufacturers limit audio system coverage to the first year or so but I think GM's good for the whole warranty period. At least I got the head unit replaced at 35,000 miles.
