hubby has gunmetal rims w/ a polished lip, dark tint on his fusion. it looks nice on his vibe, but it reminds me of halloween. i don't care for the gunmetal. i think the black, with dark tint, would look pretty sweet however.
The tires are nice but with a treadwear rating of 200 they will be very short lived. I had Falken FK 451 last summer and they had a 240 rating. Fantastic grip but they were bald by November with 30,000 miles. Yeh, I drive a lot. 60,000 miles in the 20 months I've owned my '04.If I bought rims, they would be gunmetal on my Fusion two-tone.
whatever you like, should be whatever you get. and since it's your car, do whatever the hell you want to it!phil and i tend to disagree on how we think each other's cars should look. though i like the overall look of his, it's not what I WOULD have done if it were mine. but it's not mine, so he can do whatever he wants including his gunmetal rims.... and he may not like the debadged look or clear corner lenses, decals or what not on mine, but it's MY car and i can do what i want with it. of course, no decals as of yet. if you like the all black rims, go for it. but as for the tires, i think sunny has a good point. you may be taking a very expensive route if you have to replace your tires every 30K. but then again, if you only drive 10K/yr, then that's 3 yrs.

I think a polished lip around the rim really sets it off though.not to fond of that directional look of those rims either but the colour looks good.4X4CHICHI you have the set of rims I wished I had gotten for my car but saw them afterwards but I decided to keep mine. I agree 100% gunmetal with a polished lip on a fusion Vibe is really hot.

But we'll see how I handle the alaska winter with that... Hopefully not to bad as I don't really have a long drive to get to work.

should be fine getting to/fro work, just when we get a big dump before the plows can get to the roads. short drive for distance but due to the traffic, it'll take a good 25 mins for that 5 miles!

I dont know if i would like them on the fusion. IMO the darker wheels sorta drown out the orange and bring out more of the " brownish" color. I have no room to talk i switched back to stock because i didnt like the gunmetal/lip look. But i have always been partial to chrome. Do what you like im sure you will be happy with the results.
I'm a fan of Aluminum rims, beacuse I don't like chrome but still like the shiney But seriously, I like the gunmetal look and they would look great on DaVibe My ADR GT Sports look kickin, especially with the roof rack, it almost matches perfectly.
