Either the poo-poo head who had the car for 4,700 miles before me got the car in a 2 plate state, or the first dealer, or the dealer I bought my vibe from, put the UGLY front place holder on it! EW.I went to take it off today and GASP! not pretty! looks like they just drove some wood screws into raw plastic...I wanted to take it off, it has a STUPID dealer ad tag in it now... but I don't want to drive around with 2 stupid holes poked in the front bumper either...would I have to sand, bondo, sand, and paint it.. just to fix this crap!GRRRbtw, South carolina... 1 plate state... One the plus side... if I have to keep it on, and use a novelty plate the state flag plates kinda match the Neptune... and I have the old Endangerd Species REAL tag on the back, which is also bordered in BLUE.PEACE!
At one point someone made a cool cover to cover those holes..however..that was long ago and I haven't seen it since..And that's basically how they mount it. There are two little dimples in the bumper, and the dealership just screws on the front holder if you're in a state that needs it.

We don't use a front plate here. I just got my car last week and when I was waxing it this weekend I found the dimples. At first I thought they were from stones or something that hit there. Then I noticed they were centered and must be for the front plate.

Anyway, meathead333 had put some screws in the holes and painted them to match the car so they weren't so visible. That could be an option.
I had the same thing on my Vibe and last week I had the car into the body shop to have some scratches taken car of from a dog jumping on the hood.I asked the guy doing the work to clean up the hole and make them not look so bad. He used a drill bit and drilled out the holes just a tab bit bigger. (drilled by turning drill bit with fingers) There are still holes there but they don't look as bad.
