Well, I am BACK in the club...I flew to Reno on Sunday to pick up my 05 GT. I originally purchased a loaded 05 Base auto, but decided that I wanted a GT, good thing my buddy is the sales manager at the Pontiac dealer...I told him I REALLY wanted a GT, he told me to bring back the base. I had only put 75 miles on it, so I guess it was an extended test drive. The reason I had to go to Reno to get the car is because the stock of GT's is low and the ones that are out there have pretty lame options ordered such as side air bags and 6CD and thats all...I got a Moonstone, moon and tunes, XM(that was a must), 17's, factory security and power package. Good price too, considering employee pricing and $2000 worth of rebates. My plane tickets were $137 one-way from Seattle to Reno, hotel was $55 and gas was $90(which my buddy reimbursed me for)Trip was a tad over 800 miles, filled up in Reno, Grants Pass, OR and Tumwater, WA. Get ready for this...1st tank mileage, in the mountains was 31.52MPG, second tank, 99% 70MPH freeway was...31.52MPG. Pretty good considering the speed and a non-broken-in-vehicle. I was hoping for a little more on the freeway, but the EPA says 32...lets not go there...I have lurking for a couple of weeks now and I have seen some good info, some mediocre info and some just plain BAD info IMO.I hope to meet some of you in the future and trade stories (US Navy stories are a plus)Oh ya, on the way thru Seattle yesterday I was in the NB express lanes on the Ship Canal bridge when a newer civic with a coffee can on the rear want to play, I dropped to 4th gear and let it flow...right past my buddy in the Honda...

Unchallenged bad info will cause someone to the wrong thing. It is the responsibility of each member here to correct or challenge bad information when they see it. If I have posted just plain BAD info, tell me so. You won't be the first to do so. How else am i going to learn?
I hope to meet some of you in the future and trade stories (US Navy stories are a plus)Nice to see you are enjoying the Vibe GT. For Navy stories, you will have to speak to my brother. He has 14 years in. He is stationed in Groton but was in Everett for a time a while ago.
