Welcome, there have been posts on this you can search for them using the search link in the upper left.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=7232And don't be surprised if you get this answer from more than one person."Just put the thing on instead of trying to disable the buzzer (or light)"I have to say I agree with that answer though.

ok I do wear the thing but.... I live on a mile long private road that does not require the use of the seat belt (no traffic) I must exit the car to get the daily bills from the mailbox and it's just a pain to have to do all that to get to house.... maybe I just buy an old belt and cut it off and shove it in the dumb thing? My guess though is that there must be a senor under the seat when I find it I'll let ya know.thanks for the info on the previous thread....
yea yea yea sorry I asked I do wear the dumb thing just want to be able to move the hting around the yard or on our road without having without having to buckle up... man
i don't remember on the vibe, but my LGT would beep and not stop until i'd buckle up. i found instructions on how to get it to stop and it worked! boy was i happy!!! you could try it and see if it works, but no promises!http://legacygt.com/forums/sho...unt=7
The '05 has the "annoy the (removed) out of you with this cheeseball Radio Shack piezo buzzer until you buckle up" feature that those of 2003-2004 vintage did not have. I'm not sure if I've read a clear answer on just how much it beeps at you though.Anyway, I still agree with finding an old seat belt from a wrecked car and use that. Or, you can stretch the passenger's belt over to the driver's buckle and buckle it in there. I don't know why the hell I tried that the other day, but that worked.

Its is an 05 just got it this week, YEA it never stops................I don't have a problem wearing the belt but would like to make the decision for myself.

While you're at it, take the airbags out and sell them on ebay, the money will help pay for gas and the weight savings will help acceleration. dude, relax. he's not your liability. he didnt ask if he should wear his belt or not, that's the whole point. i dont wear mine, and don't care if anyone likes it or not, it's my decision.

OK, time for a new forum."Tech Info & Do-It-Yourself Info Without Moral Judgements & Condemnation"Seriously folks, there have been a number of very valid reasons stated here to be able to disable that damnable buzzer. But every time someone asks the question they get bombarded by thinly veiled attacks and moral judgements. After all even if they claim to have a good reason to disable that buzzer they must truly be trying to put their own lives in jeopardy, break the law and eventually become a burden on society as a whole and make it easier on themselves to accomplish it by not being nagged by a buzzer. Right? The topic is "Disable the seatbelt buzzer" not "Please jump on me and tell me how bad I am to even consider...."It's great to see so many people concerned with the safety of others, it is a commendable thing. Just please try and keep perspective about when friendly advice begins turning into browbeating and condemnation. My idea has been posted twice on how to do something about the buzzer issue. If someone decides to give it a try please document the mod well and post it for us all to benefit from so that these same touchy questions do not have to be asked over and over.My original post: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=14304My recent post: http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...age=2
Hey guys I fixed it I removed the third or middle seat belt out of my GMC pickup and now if I need to drive with out the belt I can just plug the loose one in.... So ha
