"Model lineup positioning of the 2006 VW Cabrio falls between the Golf and the Passat and will be unveiled in Frankfurt this September with the European market launch in first quarter 2006. Expect to see the full range of VW engines including the new 280hp 3.6L VR6 to be included later in the life cycle. The 2006 VW Cabrio will be manufactured at Volkswagen Autoeuropa - Automóveis Lda. factory in Portugal. According to VW/Audi of America Executive Vice President Len Hunt, pricing should be around $30,000 depending on euro/dollar exchange rates."
Looks like a G6 competitor. The roof line has the same lines. But at least they didn't rip off any of the other characteristics.Looks good, though not sure about the backend.
It looks too much like a chrysler product (sebring).
Windoze: When you absolutely don't care enough to buy the very best!/liberalism“The dustbin of history is littered with remains of those countries that relied on diplomacy to secure their freedom. We must never forget... in the final analysis... that it is our military, industrial and economic strength that offers the best guarantee of peace for America in times of danger.†—Ronald Reagan
But I would never own a VW anyway. I really dislike the rear end on these new VW's, particularly the funky tail light treatments... The new Jetta looks goofy back there, and this is following in its footsteps it seems. And gee, let's hope this gets that big chunk of chrome on the lower part of the front bumper right smack in the middle like the new Jetta has too, that looks swell. (removed)! But like I said, I would never, ever own a VW, so my opinion should be piped to /dev/null anyway.
