This is becoming annoying...

Post by redlava »

I turned my computer on this afternoon and my LCD was all grainy and distorted and the color was all messed up. I check the connections and check the display properties and everything is normal. I unplug the monitor and restart the computer and the graininess is gone but now half of the screen is normal and the other half is a yellowish color that seems to flicker on and off intermittently. I wrote Acer customer service a message, but it will probably take a week just to get a response. Don't know how much longer I can look at this and not have a seizure.

It was cheap, 17" for like $200 bucks off of tigerdirect.com and it got a good rating. Hopefully their customer servce and warranty are better than their monitors. It has changed to a soothing shade of blue now and not the harsh yellow.

Acer should take care of you. I sell their monitors all the time and they are good monitors. I rarely see a problem out of them and they have a 3-year warranty (just hope you kept the box and all the packing materials). I didn't like Acer at all when they built computers, but now their monitors are quality products (from what I have seen).
