Gorillaz

Post by scherry2 »

Has anyone have any opinions on "the world's greatest live, pre-recorded, re-mixed, all-animated pop band" - wired magazine called Gorillaz I love the art work and videos. I picked up the CD Demon Days for my son.

i dig 'em. their first album (self-titled) was a little more poppy, and del the funky homosapien was the MC on it. i'm not sure who that is on 'demon days', but their style is just a bit rougher than i prefer. overall, good, smart stuff.

I love it. The debut album was good, Demon Days is great stuff! I've only recently started getting into hip-hop, since so much of it is crap. I thought all of it was, until my brother sent me some good stuff. For me, the Gorillaz albums weren't as immediately accessible as a lot of the rock I usually listen to, but after a few listenings I got to really enjoy it. I also get tired of it a lot less quickly.Demon Days is consistently good and often great; the last two tracks are among my all-time favorites.

I gotta say that "i'm happy feelin' glad i got sunsine in a bag" song makes me want to vomit. A guy at work had that damn thing as his ringtone on his phone for the longest time. I've heard a couple songs of theirs that were interesting but none were the popular ones, which unfortunately, I really just can't get into the tunes that everyone else seems to like which get all the play.

Gorillaz is a fantastic band. Thier first CD is great and their second one is just a good. The first time I heard Demon Days I didn't really like it, but it started growing on me. Feel Good Inc. is probably my favorite song.
