ok, rub your eyes, here it is:well since i bought the srt-4 there have been a lot of people wanting to race me. and im not talking about a few i mean a lot of people want and even thought they all loose they a persistant and keep trying .. dont know why..well here goes my first. i had just gotten the car after a five hundred mile brakin period of course like we all know..ii saw a mustan gt it was black and seemed to have exhaust and maybe some other stuff but i didnt noticed becuase we didnt stop to talk after the race. soi we are at a light and he revs his engine so i look at him and decide to go.. green light comes and we take off, well he got me by almsot a car at the begining untill i hit second gear-switching to third i started to pull way way ahead..then we decided to go froim a 40 mile er hour roll , three honks and off we go , well he jumped alittle but i pulled almost inmediatelly. after fourth gear it was all over i think he had more mods besides the exhaust though. then the next day i went to get some car washh soap and on my way back i noticed this guy tailgating me . it was a honda... ridiculous looking ricer thought he could take me but i showed him i downshifted to third gear and punched it i left him way way way back once i let off the gas i could still hear his fart can trying to catch up... the next day my boys and i are going to the club and we spot a yellow matrix xrs... hehe.. well i followed him and saw if he wanted to go .. after a few minutes we finally get to a light.. i rolled down my window and so did he.. i told him that i previously owned a matrix and he asked me why i had a srt-4 i said i traded it becuase it wasnt fast enough. .. . he laughs and i say come on ill show you... he said he had exhaust headers cai and some other crap i dont remember.. i was stock. well green light comes on and we take off he stayed right next to me in first gear but i started to pull away very rapidly.. i could not believe how slow it was even with those mods... i laughed my a** off. . . i said what the hell was i thinking when i bought the xrs. . . two days later my friend said he wanted to race me because he said he could not believe that no one had beaten me yet.. so he shows me his new ride and 2004 s2000 with exhaust and intake.. i told him i would take him and there was noo need to race.. but he would not listen.. well we go to the highway and decided to go from a roll three honks and we are off i started in second gear and easily pulled away until the end of third then i miss fourth and he flys by me... that really sucked but ii quess you cant count that as a loss.. we go again i shift perfectly and take him by a full car lenght..he was a bit mad ... then on our way back i saw this audi s4(blue) and got right next to him to see if he wanted to play.. well sure enough he was up for it.. honk three times and we go he stayed right next to me until i decided to really punch it and he was gone... in my rear view mirror...last but no least i race a camero z28 or something... i had no doubt that i could take him because i had beaten camaros before with the xrs so i knew there was no way he could keep up unless modded heavily.. we go without the three honks and i take him by 2 cars.. the look on the gus face was priceless... oh almost forgot there are more..well weather was cool for the night (70s) and the car loves it. Anyways I'm crusing back into downtown so these two young guys line up next to me and they just pace me checking out the car...SRT's not too common up here or ANY performance cars really. All of a sudden I'm doing around 30 in 3rd and I see the headlights shoot up in the air (from about a car back) and he's coming on hard so I just nailed it while still in 3rd . They pulled to my door and hung there for a second and as soon as I got into my power band...decided to be a d*** since they tried jumping it on me I put my hand out the window and waved bye-bye (they were to my left) as I started to pull away nice and hard. My real reason for doing it was for kicks and secondly so he didn't think he actually hung with me for those few seconds the run was close.They wouldn't come along side of me again but from the looks of it I think it was an S-type but unsure if it was a 3.0, 4.0, etc.then a celica with a ton of mods accordin to the guy driving it 1st time we went from a 20 roll, had him by a lil more than car length with my slowing creeping away. I let off about 110. I was shocked, we both thought I was going to rip him. Later we went from a 40 roll, this time about a car and a half and pulling a tad quicker than before. Last race we did from a dig, and just left at idle, he launched. Through 1st gear, I was a fender ahead, and by the end of 3rd, I had about 2 cars on him.a few days late I was like yes time to racea cobra !! He gets next to me and we punched it the same time I was in 2nd at about 4k rpms and got a jump on him by like 1/2 a car he had to keep stopping b.c there was a car in front of him. So then we did that about 2x in a row and I decided to tell him follow me so we could go on more of a cleaner road and better straight away so he did , he pulled next to me same thing I was in 2nd at 4k rpm's and we both punched it I got about 1/2 a car on him as I got into 3rd a car came in front so I stopped and he kept going. We pulled up to a light and he was like damn that thing is quick! He's like u pulled hard back there on me and said him and his girlfriend were just like, is that me or am i getting walked by a srt? So he was like do u have stage 2? I was like no just exhaust, intake... he was like damn im real scared now so we got on at the light and I got a bad launch and spun in 1st like hell and put it in 2nd and spun right threw that to! , the funny part was i got a bad launch and he missed 2nd so I passed him !! So since we both messed up we decided to race from 2nd again I was at about 4k rpm's, I did 3 horns and we both punched it! We were even threw 2nd then in 3rd he pulled on me about a 1/2 a car and went all the way to 4th and stayed at about 1/2 as the raced ended and we both stopped. We pulled over to the local blockbuster talked it out and he told me that thing is much quicker then i thought it was and asked me what i had he were my mods (cone filter, 3 inch custom turbo back exhaust). He had 3 gauges and all he had was a 3 inch intake. He told me he ran a 12.9 stock before and said i could easily do mid to low 13's. It was a great race and props to the cobra that thing was badass!!thenI was headed to the gym-for the first time since I got sick 3 years ago- and came to a stoplight by my neighborhood. Its a two lane road, that goes straight for about 3/4 a mile over an overpass. I was supposed to go to the offramp, but apparently my Killswitch Engage (music) was too loud for this guy. The light went green and I heard him hit it-he had to have an aftermarket exhaust because it was fairly loud and had 4 exhaust tips rather than 2. This was the brand new 911 that doesn't look like the Boxster anymore (different headlights). So I decide to hit it and see if I can hang. Once he saw me sticking by his rear bumper he stays on it, I get to the top of third and have to slow down, but this guy was only a car ahead of me and barely pulling at all. Either way, I was impressed that this little car with only 200 miles on it was able to hang with a new 911 carerra, and I'm betting the Porsche guy was thinking the same thing.

Even though he doesn't hav eon anymore, everytime he makes fun of a matrix or its owners he is in part making fun of himself regaurdless of what he says.3) He was bragging about how bad (removed) his car was for beating the S2000 by a car length and then when he came to the Boxster (that he changed to a 911 carrera at the end) he was braggin about how he ONLY got beat by a car length...4) THERE ARE SO MANY SRT-4S IN MY AREA THEY ARE ALMOST AS COMMON AS GRAND AMS!!!!!!!!! There are so many around here I actually find them obnoxious and anoying rather than unique and powerful.5) Everyone's right. He's calling the civics ricers and that but when it comes down to it, a Neon's a Neon and Neons are right up there on the rice list next to Civics...the trueth hurts. Fortunately there are no cheapo aftermarket parts for the Vibe/Matrix otherwise we'd probably be up there too on the ric list.6) One of these days he's gonna get too cocky and try to race a King Bell Cobra, Bullit mustang or a Z28 with a 454 in it or something and he's gonna get blown way the hell out of the water.

Holy crap! Blah, blah, blah, I drive an SRT4 and it is the fastest thing in the universe! How come most SRT4 people are this way? Ruins it for the rest... I believe half of what I hear and all of what I see. In this case I believe nothing and have not seen it either.

Seems that most kids with Grand Prixs have an equally large ego around my area...
