Getting to the back of my head unit through the glove compartment

Post by lazerus06 »

I have a 05' Vibe base with the moon and tunes package. I wanted to hook my iPod up to it directly. My friend has a Mazda Protege and he went through the glove compartment to hook a line into the back of his head unit. Is it possible to do this on the Vibe?

Unless you have very small and bendy hands....no. You would have to remove the bezzel and radio and hook it in. You can run the wire out through the glove compartment but you can't do the install leaving in the radio.

the vibe radio doesn't ahve a build in line hook up. you have to open the radio, do something that some guys here have done. the radio needs to be removed and opened if you want to directly hook up your ipod. if you want a line in input, you'd be better off by getting a simple 150$ radio with line inputs. unless you're savy with electronics.
