I think I have a mouse living in my car. With my air vents open there is a urine smell and some of the hood insulation is chewed up. Where is the air intake that would feed the inside of the car? Is it in the cowl area?
Hmmm...James' Vibe has a stench coming from the air vents, and a spot below the windshield where there are chunks missing from some plastic...wonder if that's what's causing those issues on his car too...or some other kind of critter.

I think I had one in my vibe for a while. When I changed the cabin filter there was a lot of chewed up paper in there. Had to blow it out. Then was told to put a dryer sheet on top of the cabin filter. Besides making the car smell good it's supposed to keep mice out.And if you want to make the smell worse, put moth balls everywhere. That will keep them out. What pissed me off when I had a mouse in mine is I have 3 cats that sleep on the car and track prints all over it. Dang cats, less sleeping more hunting.
While they slept on the car, the mice were playing stealth war games under it heh. Probably were trying to set up charges to blow up the car and the cats

Well there are no chew marks in the cowl area so Im not sure how he/she got in and Im not sure where the source of smell is coming from. I put a dryer sheet on the cabin filter and it smells like perfume-urine but thats better then just urine . I bought Fox urine to put around my garage and a ultrasonic rodent repeller so with the two I hope they go away. Thanks for the replies...
