New Wheels From EdgeRacing.com

Post by harryyiii »

I just installed new wheels and tires from edgeracing.com. $721.00 delivered. Purchased on-line, not a word spoken. I also debadged the Vibe emblems on the sides with unwaxed dental floss (a lot of dental floss) This is a closeup of the wheel, with the missing badge. These replace the incredibly crappy and embarrassing steel wheels and covers. It changes the look of the car from a stripper econobox to a sharp looking vehicle. Has anyone done anything with the cheesy chrome trim on the 2005 grill. I was thinking of covering it with wide pinstripe tape.

Now all you need to do is drop it As for the chrome trim, why don't you just remove it, sand it down and paint it to match the body color?

I upped to 215/50/17, the optional factory 17" wheel and tire size. I was originally going to use the generally dispised Continentals on new 16" ribs, but at the local discount tires, it would have cost me near $500. For $720, I got the much better Falken tires, and bigger wheels. As for the trim, I am a little concerned about paint sticking to the smooth chrome plastic (which appears to be clear plastic coating over the chrome. If I screw up with the tape, I peel it off.No other mods yet. I don't plan to do anything with the motor. After the warranty runs out, I might consider rear disks.
