i was looking into injen cai but i ran across this k&n typhoon and i know k&n has a good reputation. has anyone tried a typhoon? or would it just be worth the extra cash to purchase the cai?
the only one's ive seen from k&n on the vibe are short ram air intakes, now most ppl will say that its bad to have the cai filter inside your engine compartment because of all the heat, i do believe this to be true, so my thinking was if you go short ram air, get a ram air hood. otherwise get the ingen.
Yes....it is a short RAM intake and will suck up warmer air, but K & N shows about a 12 hp increase...which is about what the Injen CAI gives if memory serves me right.Jim

i have the K&N Typhoon. and i love it...i live in the land of the monsoon, and i just didn't want to take the chance of water getting sucked into the air intake...here's a pic...
Purdy. I'm getting a short ram since I'm having a ram air hood made. My surgery is tomarrow afternoon then i can go to work when released. yip. Now all i gotta do is find a green short ram or some green metalik paint.
