i've always felt that tint looks best on the shadow vibes! (no offence to the rest of you that made the wrong colour choice when buying your vibe! )looks good and has been added to my list of shadow vibes that are pushing me in the direction of tinting mine!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
Lookin' good. Reminds me I still need to get pics. Unfortunately I washed it yesterday morning and parked it in my parents driveway. Next door neighbor mowed the lawn shortly after which made it look like crap since I hadn't dried it yet It'll be much cooler when you get back to it after it's been parked.
yup. tint looks i'm taking my LGT in this weekend to have the rear window fixed (the tint bubbled on the very bottom) and to get the fronts to match the rest: 20% all around. They are currently at 35% fronts and 20% rears.
Reminds me I need to take mine back to the dealer to have them tint it. I paid for it after all. The car had a ticket next to the sticker for +$200 for tint, but they never tinted it. I didn't notice till after I bought it, so they wrote me up a work order to get the tint done. It just seems shady to me (pun intended).
so how is the visiability when looking out the windows to switch lanes etc. or at night? I am thinking of getting mine done, but I think Minnesota is only 50% but I think 50 would still look ok on a shadow vibe.
Visibility is just fine. The tinting is really subtle on the inside, the only thing that's different is that weird kinda green that comes as stock is now gone.
I have 35% all the way around. I was thinking ok its 35% so it can't be easy to see at night right? Wrong, I have no problem seeing out my windows its like there slightly darker from the inside than what they were, looking out into the car is a different story.
I have a moonstone vibe (which i think used to be shadow before 05), with 35% front and 17% back. If I had to do it all over again, I would get 35% front, 5% back and 17% (or 20) for the rear window. There's several reasons: ohio limit is 50% in the front, but that's barely visible at all and imho a waste of money, unless you're doing it for safety (e.g. the glass won't explode in your face during an accident). 5% for the back side window because my kids (2-1/2 yrs and 11 months) are screaming bloody murder when the sun is in their eyes and, once I get them, to hide the headrest screens more. Also, there's more contrast between 35% and 5% than there is with 35% and 17%, so hopefully it'll give cops the illusion that I'm legal. And 20% for the rear window simply because I'd like to be able to see what I'm backing into.
