what are the boxes located under the front seats?

does anyone know what the boxes are located under the 2 front seats are? they look like they are holding electronic components and they are connected to the seats themselves. I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe Base model.Thanks in advance...Joe from St. Louis

Umm I know on a base with moon & tunes.The driver side is the power inverter for the 115v outlet, and passenger side is the amp that powers the highs.

Yup, exactly that. They're actually connected to the floor..but they're just kinda hanging in mid-air..
